School Contributions And Charges 2024
Dear Parents and Caregivers.
After a consultation with Family, Community and School Representatives, the following Contributions and Charges have been agreed to for the 2024 school year. It is broken into sections which are clearly identified below:
OTHER FUNDRAISING COSTS – P&C VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTION
Each year the P & C endeavours to provide the school with additional education resources which are not factored into the Schools Online Budget. In addition to the significant fundraising they do, they request a contribution from families. In 2024, the requested contribution is $10.00 per student, capped at $20.00 per family.
CONTRIBUTIONS
In 2024, we will be asking for a $50.00 voluntary contribution for each student enrolled, which is a discounted rate of the maximum scheduled amount of $60.00 recommended in the School Education Regulations 2000. This figure will be for all students from Kindergarten to Year 6 as decided by the School Board.
Money collected will be used to supplement school expenditure in STEAM (Science, Technology, Arts, Engineering, Mathematics), Civics and Citizenship. While contributions are voluntary, they enable us to work together to provide additional resources and opportunities for students at Forrestfield Primary School.
ITEMS FOR PERSONAL USE IN THE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM
The charge for personal use items will vary from student to student and includes:
- Essential pupil requirements for all students and used in lessons (eg stationery, headphones, calculator)
- Non-essential pupil requirements but recommended for all students (eg art shirt, school & library bags)
- Non-essential pupil requirements that are not directly part of the educational programme (eg class photos)
CHARGES FOR EXTRA COST OPTIONAL COMPONENTS
